Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Vampires, werewolves, zombies, ravenous extraterestrials, murderous poltergeists, abominations of nature, hideous creatures born of experiments gone wrong. None are real, all are projections, metaphors, an externalization of what lies within us.

  Relentless, Dean Koontz, pg. 134

(Koontz obviously hasn’t read the ‘Twilight’ saga! 🙂 )

The only Dean Koontz I’ve read is the one about his dog–title escapes right now! Thought he went a bit overboard in dog care (from a true dog lover) but sounds like that’s just his style even with vampires, zombies, etc.

My selection is fiction based on a real world nightmare: “Sarah’s Key” by Tatiana de Rosnay. Link: Summit Musings ,/a>

Let me try that link again. Summit Musings
