Damon’s hunger gnaws at him. He needs to feed soon before desire overrides caution and he enters the village.

For Lacey, the sight of Damon drinking from his brother’s throat should repulse him. Instead, he’s oddly aroused. Damon is all his fantasies come true. Lovely and dangerous.

As Damon’s prisoner, Lacey’s love for his beautiful captor grows, but will love be enough to set them both free?

Afternoon sunlight laid a golden mantle on the fields before Damon pulled his lathered horse to a walk. The stallion’s sides heaved; beneath his thighs, muscles quivered. Damon stroked the sweat drenched neck. Speed had eased the mad rush of his blood but now a familiar hunger knotted his stomach. He would need to feed soon before desire overrode prudence and he ravaged the village for relief.

A merry shout froze him, and then his heart pounded. Two young men chased goats across the pasture, their strides carefree, voices filled with laughter as they taunted each other. The quicker of the two disappeared over the hillock and Damon slid from his saddle. Swift and silent as a shadow he loped through the tall grass. The young man twirled in surprise at his approach, but his cry strangled in his throat when Damon lifted a hand. “Come with me.”

He drew the dazed youth into the copse. Normally he needed only a moment to feed, but this boy was pretty and he had time. He ran fingers through golden hair as he laid the young man out on the soft moss under the trees. Sea blue eyes blinked at him, wide with fear, confusion. Damon kissed each lid, the lashes fluttering against his lips.

He nibbled a small ear. “Hush, love, I won’t hurt you.” Perhaps not all of the truth. He undid the laces at the boy’s white neck and slipped a hand inside over the pounding heart. Strong. Beautiful. His cock stirred, its pulse matching the wild beat under his palm.

Damon placed a chaste kiss on the youth’s rosy lips and trailed tiny kisses along his jaw to his soft neck. He pressed his mouth to the thick vein there and thrilled at the shudder that ran through the slim body in his arms. He sucked to bring the vein to the surface and breathed deeply of heated skin and fear.

Damon’s cock ached; anticipated long days and nights with the lovely man. He stroked the lean, muscled chest under his fingers, pinched a tight nipple. A whimper vibrated in the throat against his tongue. Yes! Damon drew his lips back, bared his teeth and sank sharp canines into salty flesh. Hot blood filled his mouth. He swallowed the thick, coppery fluid; moaned as it coated his throat. Drinking deeply, he saturated tongue and gums and the lining of his mouth. Blood pooled in his stomach, warm, easing the gnawing hunger.

He regretted when he had to pull away from the wound. He licked at the puncture marks until the blood congealed and sealed them. He didn’t want to kill the boy. The youth’s eyes fluttered between sleep and wakefulness and Damon kissed the flushed cheek. “Sleep, love.”
