They gave their order, then, turning suddenly, their gaze clashed with his. Caught staring, Cory struggled to glance away but found himself caught by rich chocolate and golden eyes. The air seemed sucked from the room as they approached his table.

The striking man in green and blue touched his shoulder, sending a jolt of electricity through him. “I’m Lex,” he said in velvet tones. The other one picked up Cory’s hand, stroking a thumb over his wrist. “I’m Amber. Jules has told me all about you.” His hot gaze traveled over Cory’s body, and a delicious pout bowed his lips as if he wanted to take a peek at what was hidden by the table.

Cory loves the carnival. Even as an adult, the lights and color, flashing rides, popcorn and cotton candy, all hold a special allure for him.
